Mindful Living Conference

It is a marvelous thing to live in the age of instantaneous, inexpensive, global electronic communication, but every once in a while you just have to gather the tribes.  To this end, the NCC’s Ecojustice Programs are offering a conference this fall called: Mindful Living: Healthy Churches, Healthy People, Healthy Planet; “Learning about the unfolding world of toxics in our life”.   To read about the outstanding speakers, including the Rev. Dr. Jim Antal, Nancy Dawson Firestone, Dr. Mark Mitchell, visit

The conference will be held October 9-11, 2008 in Alexandria, Minnesota at the beautiful Lake Geneva Christian Center.  (  For more details about the schedule, visit

Here is a unique opportunity to learn about environmental health and the toxics we all live with everyday.  We will consider the issue as a matter of faith, and find hope and empowerment in our belief that we are called to care for Creation, which includes all humanity.

The conference will also be a terrific opportunity to meet NCC staffers including Chloe Schwabe, Cassandra Carmichael, Elizabeth McGurk, and Carl Magruder.
