The Hope of Christmas

Happy, happy Christmas, everyone. My prayer for all on this day is that the hope this day points to, the joy, the realized expectation, fill our hearts, and move us to reflect these feelings in all we do.

My hope, too, on this Christmas morning, is that the lovely phrase, keep Christmas with you all through the year, is also birthed into a new kind of reality. That we see, in all the world around us, the incarnate Christ. That in the faces of those living in poverty, in the life fully realized in the biodiversity of this Creation – we see the incarante God. And adjust our lives to reflect that.

Christ came on this morning in order to restore the entirety of God’s Creation into right relationship – with each other and with God. That is the message, the hope, the realized expectation that Christmas morning births into this world. Carry that message with you, my friends, throughout the year – and find new ways everyday to live that into being. Merry Christmas!
